ZEISS Completes Innovation Center, HQ of US Medical Technology Business
ZEISS completed construction on a $180 million R&D, production, sales, and customer service facility in Dublin, Calif., in the San Francisco Bay Area. The ZEISS Innovation Center supports opportunities for collaboration with academia, industry, and local community partners, ZEISS Group CFO Christian Müller said.
The facility includes space for customer experience and demonstration centers, research laboratories, and service and production facilities. The center also serves as the U.S. headquarters for the ZEISS medical technology business, under Carl Zeiss Meditec AG, in which ZEISS holds the majority. ZEISS medical technology develops and distributes cutting-edge solutions for ophthalmology and microsurgery.
