The US Patent Office has granted a broad patent to David Amundson and John Hanlin, co-founders of Cardio-optics Inc., for exclusive use of a medical imaging technology that renders blood transparent by using fiber optics to transmit IR light from a catheter or endoscope inserted into a patients heart, vessels or other organs.
