Mouse embryo wins competition
Gloria Kwon from Sloan-Kettering Institute in New York recently won first place in the 2007 Nikon Small World Photomicrography competition. This image of a double transgenic mouse embryo at 18.5 days old was captured using wide-field microscopy with various lighting conditions under bright-field illumination as well as with green and red fluorescent filters under dark-field illumination.
