Er:YAG laser fiber
!%IRphotonics%! introduces the HPF (high-power fiber) for delivering Er:YAG and Er,Cr:YSGG beams for dentistry, dermatology and general surgery. Made of ZBLAN fluoride glass, the fiber enables >85% transmission for those beams, low Fresnel losses of 4% per end face, a transmission range from 300 to 4500 nm, an NA of 0.10 to 0.25 and high laser damage thresholds. The fiber is more convenient to use compared with articulated arms. Core diameters and standard lengths are available from 62 to 500 μm and up to 3 m, respectively. Longer lengths are available.
