Biophoton emission

The volume Biophotonics and Coherent Systems in Biology consists of original papers presented at the Third Alexander Gurwitsch Conference on Biophotonics and Coherent Systems in Biology, Biophysics and Biotechnology, which was held in Crimea, Ukraine, in 2004. The 317-page publication includes contributions on biophoton emission and electromagnetic fields, and on the concept of coherence in a broader sense, including sociological and philosophical aspects. Mitogenics rays and biophotons, the oscillation behavior of the delayed luminescence of plant leaves, and the use of ultraweak photon emission for analyzing processes in cells and developing embryos are among the paper topics. References, illustrations and an index are provided. L.V. Beloussov, V.L. Voeikov and V.S. Martynyuk, eds.; Springer, New York, 2007; $154.97; h114.95.
