Labeling, detection
“BioProbes 52,” the March issue of a newsletter published by !%Molecular Probes Inc.%!, includes articles on emerging technologies, such as Click-iT glycoprotein profiling reagents, a Premo cameleon calcium sensor for listening in on cellular communications, and Saivi Alexa Fluor antibody/protein labeling kits for in vivo animal imaging. A section on imaging analysis includes a discussion on the use of fluorescence and chromogenic in situ hybridization to visualize RNA and DNA targets, as well as coverage of fluorescent probes for two-photon microscopy, with applications in neuroscience and other areas. Bioarsenical reagents for live-cell imaging and protein labeling also are covered in the 40-page document, which includes numerous charts, images and references.
