Multidetector CT
The volume
Atlas of Non-Invasive Coronary Angiography by Multidetector Computed Tomography presents more than 160 illustrations — 116 of them in color — depicting the capacity of the technique to analyze the anatomy of the coronary arteries. Detailed text accompanies the images, which were taken with a Toshiba Aquilion system, most from a 64-slice unit. The 137-page publication includes chapters on the fundamentals of the cardiac technique as well as on normal anatomy and on congenital abnormalities of the coronary arteries. It discusses the use of the technique for the detection and quantification of coronary artery calcium and stenoses, and for the morphological and functional assessment of heart chambers. The eighth volume in the Developments in Cardiovascular Medicine series, it was written by cardiologists and radiologists and includes references and an index.
