National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts
The National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts of London has made a £30,000 seed investment in the Magnicap drug packaging concept. The project incorporates a small magnifying glass
into pharmaceutical packaging to help consumers read dosage instructions, batch
information and expiration dates written in small print on drug labels. Single-shot
injection molding allows the production of both the lid and magnifying glass in
a single step, minimizing cost and disruption to the existing manufacturing process.
