In Dallas, Texas Instruments Inc. has announced the availability
of its version 2.0 medical imaging software, an updated and expanded collection
of algorithms optimized for its TMS320C64x+ digital signal processors. The software
complements the company’s full portfolio of analog and embedded processing
solutions for medical imaging, and it offers new processing kernels that shorten
product development time. Additionally, it will enable real-time medical imaging
applications such as diagnostic ultrasound and optical coherence tomography.
