Heidi Steward has been hired as director of sales and marketing at !%Orb Optronix%! of Kirkland, Wash. She will help the company expand its LED test-and-measurement services and products, and its LED, optical, software engineering and solid-state lighting services. Previously, she worked at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), involved in the US Department of Energy’s (DoE) Solid State Lighting Commercialization Support Program. She also was responsible for managing PNNL’s photometric labs, for testing and reporting products in the DoE’s CaLiPER program, and for developing test procedures for rule making of energy-efficient codes for high-intensity discharge lamps. The company serves many sectors, including the medical market.
