Dental laser manufacturer !%Biolase Inc.%! of Irvine, Calif., has appointed two key senior managers to strengthen its operations and promote its core dental product franchise. Dr. Samir Chowdhury, who was named general manager, will oversee the company’s new product development and engineering efforts as well as assist in developing strategic business plans, among other responsibilities. Previously, he held executive positions at Gamma Medica Inc. Colleen Boswell, as vice president of regulatory affairs, will oversee and execute the company’s regulatory compliance initiatives, providing oversight for all US and international regulatory matters. She held a similar position at Sybron Dental Specialties Inc., a Danaher company.
