Hamilton Thorne Announces 2015 Revenue Increase
Laser provider Hamilton Thorne Ltd. has announced 2015 revenues of $9 million, a 4 percent increase over 2014.
The company attributed the growth to sales in its CASA image analysis products, Lykos clinical laser systems, increased revenues for after-sale service and a growing contribution from its recently acquired Oosight product line.
“We are pleased to have achieved year over year sales growth in each quarter in this difficult foreign exchange environment,” said David Wolf, president and CEO of Hamilton Thorne.
The company said it had continued to invest in aggressive promotions in the second half of the year, resulting in over 10 percent unit growth, and it has maintained a gross profit margin for the year at 63.7 percent, with increased sales of high-margin software, consumables and services with recurring revenues.
For the year, report net income of approximately $1 million is expected, a 17 percent increase over net income for the prior year, with earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of approximately $1.3 million, a 15 percent increase over the prior year.
Hamilton Thorne provides precision laser devices and advanced image analysis systems for the fertility, stem cell and developmental biology research markets.
