BMVA to Host Meeting on 3D Extrapolation from 2D Images
The British Machine Vision Association and Society for Pattern Recognition will host a meeting Jan. 29, 2020, titled “3D Worlds from 2D Images in Humans and Machines.” The meeting will explore the ability of machine vision to reconstruct 3D layout from 2D images.
Andrew Schofield of Aston University, Richard Bowden of the University of Surrey, and Wendy Adams of the University of Southampton will serve as chairs of the meeting. James Elder, professor of human and computer vision at York University, will give a keynote speech.
Papers covering aspects of 3D scene perception in humans and 3D uplift in machines will be accepted until Nov. 22.
