Rofin Boosts Fiber Laser Production at Hamburg Factory
Laser developer Rofin-Sinar Laser GmbH has expanded fiber laser production capabilities at its Hamburg factory.
By adding an additional assembly line to its facility, Rofin says it’s reacting to “increasing success in the market,” for low-power fiber lasers.
“In the new assembly line, the compact fiber lasers with one 2-kW fiber laser module are exclusively built,” said Dr. Joachim Käselau, operations manager at Rofin.
The number of assembly workplaces has been increased by 30 percent, improving production capacity and reducing lead times to prepare for the company’s next fiber laser generation.
Rofin is a developer of lasers for high-power industrial material processing for the machine tool or automotive industries.
