Blickfeld launched the Qb2 last month. The offering enables the capture and process of 3D data on a single device, and it features Blickfeld’s Percept software integrated into the lidar hardware, providing the software stack and WiFi connectivity in one device. Qb2 supports volume monitoring of bulk materials, crowd analytics, and smart infrastructure.
In announcing the partnership, Blickfeld cited increased demand from the U.S. and China, which the company is serving with growing teams on the ground. The collaboration between Blickfeld and Fabrinet started in early 2022, and mass production will start in early 2023 at Fabrinet’s site in Thailand.
