Averna Acquires ELCOM
Averna, a test and quality solutions provider, has acquired ELCOM, a.s., a test and measurement and industrial automation company, along with its subsidiaries RH-Tech s.r.o. and ELTIA s.r.o. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The acquisition aims to leverage ELCOM’s existing teams and resources to align with Averna’s goal to serve its customers’ automated test needs on a global scale. ELCOM's expertise and strategic positioning are in the automotive/electric vehicles, energy, and machine vision sectors, Averna said, when announcing the transaction.
According to François Rainville, president and CEO of Averna, the company will add over 150 ELCOM employees with the acquisition. Averna acquired proNES, a developer of customized automated quality solutions and a provider of inline and end-of-line inspections for manufactured products including batteries,
in a deal last spring.
