Update on Optical Cross Connect at Creo Products Inc.
BALTIMORE, Aug. 6 --
Creo Products Inc. recently exhibited prototypes of various sized all-optical cross connects at NFOEC. Using experience with precision electro-optical mechanical systems, Creo revealed a 32x32 cross connect, a 1000x1000 cross connect, and demonstrated that the same technology could scale to cross connects of 4000x4000.
Creo chose to use magnetic fiber bending as the technology for its OXC implementation as it is based on standard components and is well understood.
