FTTH Council Meets on Broadband Issues
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Aug. 22 -- The Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Council will meet here on its initiatives to promote fiber optic broadband access throughout North America. Guest speaker Thomas Cohen, executive director of Americans for the Digital Bridge, will discuss FTTH issues and opportunities. Business to be conducted at the meeting will include election of a board of directors, approval of bylaws and appointment of legal counsel for the FTTH Council.
Forty-six companies have joined forces in the FTTH Council, including equipment manufacturers, integrators and service providers. The FTTH Council charter is to promote and accelerate the deployment of fiber-to-the-home broadband access in North America.
