Solectron Acquiring Iphotonics
MILPITAS, Calif., Aug. 23 -- Contract manufacturer Solectron Corp. said it will acquire privately held Iphotonics in a deal the company said would expand its optical manufacturing services business.
Financial terms of the deal were undisclosed. Solectron will acquire two facilities and employ 200 people from Iphotonics, a spokesman said. The two facilities are a design and manufacturing operation in Glen Burnie, Md., and an engineering center in Fremont, Calif.
