Global Crossing Adds Peru to Network
LIMA, Peru, Aug. 23 -- Global Crossing has added Peru to its international subsea fiber optic network for high-speed data transmission. Global Crossing's president for Latin America and the Caribbean, Jose Rios, told a news conference the company had invested $90 million to build the network in Peru. It has destined $2 billion for Latin America. "From today, Peru is hooking into the most advanced and extensive fiber optic network in the world," Rios said.
