Cisco Systems Announces Eleven New Technology Groups
SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 27 -- Cisco Systems announced organizational changes relating to its focus on addressing customer requirements and its market position as the communications market consolidates. According to Cisco, these changes include moving from the company's existing line-of-business structure to centralized engineering and marketing organizations with the goal of combining separate teams working on similar products or ideas. The new engineering organization will focus on 11 technology groups, while the marketing organization will focus on communicating Cisco's unique technology differentiation.
