Start Up Company for Growth of HBT and pHEMT Wafers Established
GERMANY, Sept. 13 -- A newly established start up company, Inforcomm Semiconductor Corporation (ISC), located in the Hsinchu Science-Based Park, Taiwan, and AIXTRON are pleased to announce that ISC has recently purchased a 5" x 6" AIX 2600G3 Planetary Reactor for the growth of HBT and pHEMT wafers.
ISC is focusing on providing epi-wafer foundry business for wireless communication applications. The new facility space of more than 20,000 sq. ft., already in full operation, will enable the mass production of MOCVD-grown epitaxial HBT and pHEMT wafers. Proven reliability has made AIXTRON's G3 Planetary Reactor first choice for the core technology of this modern epi wafer foundry.
Dr. Bu-Chin Chung, president of Inforcomm Semiconductor Corporation comments, "In order to meet today's highest quality standards for mass production of HBT and pHEMT epi wafers, the AIX2600G3 Planetary Reactor offers us maximum efficiency and production stability combined with excellent material quality, features that are essential for the core technology of our business. Outstanding uniformity and highest yield are mandatory for the low-cost production of superior HBT and pHEMT device structures."
