CDM Optics, Carl Zeiss Group Form Strategic Partnership
BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 27 -- CDM Optics Inc. and Carl Zeiss Group are partnering on the use of CDM's wavefront coding technology in Carl Zeiss' products. Both companies will jointly develop and market the technology.
The technology allows imaging with a far greater depth of field than is possible with traditional imaging systems. It also allows for less expensive optical designs to perform as well as highly corrected optical systems by using fewer elements and permitting plastic elements rather than glass.
