OZ Optics President and CEO was Named Ontario’s Entrepreneur of the Year for Manufacturing
OZ Optics Limited, a global supplier of fiber optic products for existing and next-generation optical networks, was recently honoured at the Ernst & Young 2001 Entrepreneur Of The Year® Awards.
The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards is the world’s pre-eminent reward and recognition business program celebrating great entrepreneurial talent and innovation.
“Our panel of independent judges was impressed by Omur’s incredible track record and achievements. Ernst & Young is proud to provide the forum where such impressive talent as Omur’s can be showcased,” says Dan Cornacchia, Director of the Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards in Ontario and Office Managing Partner, Greater Toronto Area, Ernst & Young LLP.

In the past year and a half, OZ Optics opened sales offices in New Hampshire, New Jersey, Freemont, the Netherlands and France, and established a manufacturing facility in Turkey. Plus, the Ottawa based research and manufacturing facilities more than tripled in size.
