Gould Fiber Optics and Seikoh Giken Announce Strategic Partnership

MILLERSVILLE, Md., Oct. 5 -- Gould Fiber Optics, a provider of passive fiber optic components and manufacturer of integrated optic solutions for the telecommunications industry, announces their strategic partnership with Seikoh Giken, a manufacturer of optical connectors and interconnects for the fiber optic industry.

Per the partnership Gould Fiber Optics and Seikoh Giken will jointly market optical components to the telecommunications and CATV industries. Also joint research will be conducted in the area of optical interconnects at both the fiber interconnect as well as the optical chip interconnect. The synergies of the joint research will allow both companies to offer innovative products for providing low-cost high-density interconnects that will be required for the metro and access markets.
