ROHN Reorganizes, Trims Staff and Management
PEORIA, Ill., Nov. 9 -- ROHN Industries Inc., a provider of infrastructure equipment for the telecommunications industry, said it will replace its divisional structure with a centralized business structure to reduce operating and corporate expenses.
The action will centralize its tower, enclosure and construction services divisions, which will enable the company to eliminate duplicative divisional functions and consolidate them at its Peoria corporate headquarters. As part of this centralization, Horace Ward, previously president of the company's enclosure division, has been named senior vice president and chief operating officer of the entire company.
The company's vice president of sales and marketing will leave the company, and its vice president of construction will leave full-time employment but will stay on as a consultant on certain projects.
