Advanced Optics Electronics Acquires ColorCheck Processor
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Dec. 14 --Advanced Optics Electronics Inc. has signed an agreement to complete development and to market the ColorCheck color-to-speech processor, a handheld device that quickly determines and enunciates the color of an object.
The sale price is projected at $97 per unit for an initial market of more than 3 million units. According to Advanced Optics Electronics Inc. and inventor Brian Cox, the device can be used to assist the vision-impaired, for industrial purposes, and eventually in thermal imaging applications by the military.
