Picosecond Pulse Labs, Stanford Sign Patent Agreement
BOULDER, Colo., Jan. 11 -- Picosecond Pulse Labs Inc., which designs and makes components and test instrumentation for high-speed communications systems, announced it has signed a patent license agreement with Stanford University to develop, manufacture and commercialize high-speed signal generation, signal acquisition and signal processing products for the test and measurement and telecommunication industries.
The patents exclusively licensed under this agreement include US Patent Numbers 4,956,568; 5,014,018; 5,256,996; 5,267,020; and 5,378,939, among others. This patent suite provides Picosecond with exclusive rights to develop a wide range of high-bandwidth products based on nonlinear transmission line technologies, subject to certain rights held by the patent holders.
"This patent suite has important technology implications for high-speed signal transport components and test instruments," said Clayton Smith, Picosecond's vice president of engineering.
