Quantum Photonics Secures $27.6 Million Financing

JESSUP, Md., Feb. 15 -- Quantum Photonics Inc., developer and producer of opto-electronic components, modules and subsystems for telecommunications and data communications applications, announced it has completed its second round of funding, totaling $27.6 million.

The company's new investors include Boulder Ventures, Core Capital Partners, Davenport Capital Ventures, Draper Atlantic, EDB Investments, Intersouth Partners, Kinetic Ventures and Riggs Capital Partners. The Series B financing also was subscribed to by the previous round investors, Optical Capital Group and The Grosvenor Funds.
