Infinite Photonics Signs $12 Million DARPA Contract
WARWICK, R.I. and ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 15 -- Infinite Photonics Inc., a subsidiary of Infinite Group, has signed a $12 million contract from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for research and development using Infinite's proprietary grating coupled surface emitting laser diode technology. The work will begin immediately and be completed by the end of 2003, the company said.
Infinite Photonics will produce pump and source laser diodes, as well as grating coupled semiconductor optical amplifiers.
