Candela Receives FDA Clearance for Wrinkle Treatment

WAYLAND, Mass., Feb. 20 -- Candela Corp.'s Smoothbeam diode laser has received clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of periorbital wrinkles.

The Smoothbeam features a number of enhancements designed to optimize periorbital wrinkle treatment. Among these are a 6mm spot size, an increased range of fluence and new treatment parameters.
