ADC Selects Agere Systems ATM Port Controllers
ALLENTOWN, Pa., Feb. 26 -- ADC has chosen Agere Systems' asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) port controller (APC) products for its Avidia integrated access switches and intelligent Access Network platform (iAN). Both Avidia and iAN are multiservice platforms that enable service providers to efficiently and more profitably deliver voice, video and data services in the broadband market.
The APC product family enables ADC to meet performance and cost objectives for both high- and low-speed applications with minimal incremental development effort, the company said. ADC has implemented multiple cards that use the APC to provide best-in-class quality of service and best-in-class scheduling functions in both product lines.
