Air Force Awards Nanofabrication Contract
Mound Laser and Photonics Center Inc., a member of Infinite Group Inc., will conduct a program using laser micromachining and micro-Raman spectroscopy for the development of laser-based processing techniques. The technology may enable a growing industrial base focused on the miniaturization of "energy-limited" military and commercial products. It should also support the US Air Force's mission in laser-based nanofabrication for sensors and other components. The research is funded by a $750,000 Phase 2 Small Business Innovation Research contract from the Air Force Research Laboratory.
