Essex, Fiberspace to Market WDM Technology
COLUMBIA, Md., March 15 -- Essex Corp. and Fiberspace Inc., of Woodland Hills, Calif., have signed an agreement to co-market the Essex hyperfine WDM technology and Fiberspace's Gridlocker laser source, based on the company's patented optical phase locked loop stabilization technology. Under the terms of the agreement, the companies will integrate marketing efforts for these technologies such as making joint presentations, integrated demonstrations and writing co-authored technical papers for publication.
"Gridlocker is the only commercially developed laser that most appropriately meets the requirements of our hyperfine WDM technology," said Len Moodispaw, Essex CEO.
Hyperfine WDM technology with 6.25 GHz channel spacing is currently in customer trials in Europe and North America, Moodispaw said. "We are confident that the Fiberspace Gridlocker laser source will accelerate the deployment of hyperfine WDM products into the long haul and metro markets," he added.
