China Broadband Joins Corning Venture in Chengdu
CALGARY, Alberta, March 29 -- China Broadband Corp. said it has signed an Internet service agreement to provide data and value-added services to Corning's joint venture with Chengdu CCS Optical Fibre Corp., located in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province in China.
Chengdu CCS Optical Fibre Corp. is a large optical fiber manufacturer and is a joint venture between Corning Inc. USA and Chengdu Putian Cable Co. Ltd.
"This Internet service agreement represents one of the largest multinational corporations we have deployed high-speed Internet access and value-added services to," said Matthew Heysel, China Broadband chairman and CEO.
China Broadband is a leading broadband Internet provider in China. Through its operational subsidiary, Big Sky Network Canada Ltd., it forms cooperative ventures with municipal network providers for high-speed Internet access.
