Hitachi Ltd. has announced the following management changes: Isao Ono and Masaharu Sumikawa are new senior VPs and directors; resigning are Toshihiko Odaka, currently a senior VP and director, to be appointed a fellow of Hitachi Ltd., and Kunio Hasegawa, senior VP and director, to be appointed president and director, Hitachi Electronics Engineering Co. Ltd. Katsukuni Hisano, senior VP and director, was named president and director of Unisia Jecs Corp. and a Hitachi director. Also resigning are the following officers: Takao Kato, who will be appointed executive managing director at Hitachi Information Systems Ltd.; Tomoharu Shimayama, to be appointed executive managing director at Hitachi Plant Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd.; Toshiyuki Takaoka, to be appointed executive managing director, Hitachi Transport System Ltd.; and Toshio Nakajima, to be appointed president and director at Hitachi Distribution Software Co. Ltd. The appointments will be effective at the end of June.
