Lambda Physik Receives 157nm Laser Order

GOTTINGEN, Germany, May 3 -- Lambda Physik AG, suppliers of pulsed UV lasers, has obtained an order totalling about $3.6 million for the newest generation of its ultrashort wavelength 157nm lasers. The order, from a leading stepper and scanner manufacturer, is one of the largest contracts in this newly developing market for 157nm tools, Lambda Physik said.

Lambda Physik’s President and CEO, Dirk Basting, said "The 157nm technology will be a driving force for growth in the laser market in the future. This was evident from the great interest in this technology shown by the industry at the 4th international Lambda Physik 157nm/EUV symposium in Fort Lauderdale in early April."
