Mykrolis Corp., a supplier to the semiconductor industry, has signed a 12-year lease for a new corporate headquarters, research & development and manufacturing facility in Billerica, Mass. The move is the final phase of Mykrolis's separation from its former parent company,
Millipore Corp. The 175,000 square foot facility will house approximately 250 employees from the company's corporate offices and R & D labs, currently in Bedford, and the manufacturing operations in Millipore's Jaffrey, N.H., plant. Mykrolis will also relocate some manufacturing operations from its Yonezawa, Japan, plant to the Billerica facility. Employees began the move to the new facility earlier this month.
