Allan Rosencwaig has resigned from the board of directors of Therma-Wave Inc. Rosencwaig previously resigned as the company's chairman and CTO in February 2001. Therma-Wave produces control metrology systems used in the manufacture of semiconductors.. . .IPG Photonics, producer of high-power fiber lasers, announced it shipped its first commercial 350-watt diode-pumped fiber laser in March to a leading European manufacturer for use in a materials processing application.
