DRS to Make Assemblies for Javelin Unit
PARSIPPANY, N.J., June 28 -- DRS Technologies Inc.'s Infrared Technologies unit in Dallas, Texas, will produce infrared detectors, Dewar assemblies and coolers for the Javelin's Command Launch Unit (CLU) under a $16.7 million production subcontract from Raytheon Missile Systems Company.
Javelin is used by Army and Marine Corps combat units and is approved through the Army's foreign military sales program for international procurement. Product deliveries are expected from March 2003 through March 2004.
