FDA Clears Lyra Laser for Wrinkle Treatment

SAN JOSE, Calif., July 17 -- Laserscope said the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared its Lyra Surgical Laser System for the non-invasive treatment of wrinkles. The system is currently cleared and used in the market for permanent hair reduction in all skin types and tones and to treat pseudofolliculitis (shaving bumps), vascular lesions and leg veins.

"We are very pleased to have received clearance from the FDA for this exciting and important additional indication for our Lyra laser," said Eric Reuter, Laserscope president and CEO.
