Automated Precision Delivers Laser Tracker to Shanghai Maglev Railroad

ROCKVILLE, Md., July 22 -- Automated Precision Inc. has supplied one of its Laser Tracker II systems to the Shanghai Maglev Transportation Development Co. to help its engineering teams achieve manufacturing and installation tolerances. The company will manufacture and install 500 concrete guideway girders that are 24 meters long and weigh more than 175 tons. The manufacture and installation calls for extremely precise tolerances (better than 0.001") to facilitate the high-speed performance of Maglev trains over the guideways.
