Cambridge Display Technology (CDT) announced it has acquired the organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display technology business of Oxford, UK-based
Opsys, receiving all rights to Opsys’ dendrimer OLED technology and assuming management of Opsys’ Oxford, UK, business, including facilities and staff dedicated to dendrimer OLED technology. Financial terms of the agreement include an immediate cash payment and deferred payment in CDT shares to Opsys. Opsys’ US business, which is not part of the agreement, will retain rights to use dendrimers and other technologies developed by Opsys.
