Firms Combine Prototype and OEM Manufacturing Technology
Two New York state companies have formed a partnership to assist customers with the transition from prototype manufacturing with Optimax Systems Inc. of Ontario to OEM production with Photonics Solutions Inc. of Rochester. The latter's services include the redesign of optical component prototypes for cost-effective OEM manufacturing and the contractual manufacturing of OEM electro-optic assemblies for high-volume projects. It specializes in automated assembly and testing of optical systems for commercial products and in fabricating glass and polymer optic components for applications such as telecom, industrial vision systems and remote sensing instruments.
