Nissho to Sell Primaxx Products
ALLENTOWN, Pa., Nov. 7 -- Nissho Iwai Mechatronics Corp. of Japan has signed an exclusive agreement with Primaxx to sell its liquid source misted chemical deposition (LSMCD) system, its vortex chemical vapor deposition (CVD) system and its gas phase dry clean and etching (CET) system in Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Nissho will also provide service and customer support functions and will maintain a spare parts warehouse at its facility in Sotokanda, Tokyo.
Under the agreement, Nissho will establish a multimillion dollar demonstration facility in the Tokyo area in early 2003. The Nissho facility will initially include a Primaxx LSMCD system and support and analysis equipment. A vortex-CVD system and a CET system will be added in the first half of next year. The lab will be configured to simulate optimized throughput in a high-volume production environment.
