Adept Technology Inc., a manufacturer of intelligent production automation solutions for the electronics, fiber optic, telecommunications and semiconductor industries, has expanded and renamed its MVP co-marketing program. The Adept Peripheral Partner (APP) program is Adept's new co-marketing program for robot, vision and motion control peripherals and accessories. The new program will feature expanded online services, electronic distribution and closer links to Adept customer support programs designed to reduce engineering and support costs for end-users and systems integrators using Adept products.

. . . The Centre for Applied Biosciences and Biotechnology recently opened at the University of Toronto at Mississauga. The $3.4-million center features a nuclear magnetic resonance suite, an interactive classroom and research labs that will be home to multidisciplinary teams of researchers.
