Cree, Nichia Make LED Agreement
DURHAM, N.C. and ANAN, Tokushima, Nov. 13 -- Cree Inc. and Nichia Corp., developers of nitride LED and laser technology, announced today that they have entered into a patent cross-license agreement and have settled litigation between them over gallium nitride-based optoelectronic technology.
The companies said the agreement will allow them to focus on developing technology for high-brightness LEDs, laser diodes and LED-based lighting.
