Nortel Routers Enable Broadband in China Cities
BEIJING, Nov. 21 -- Nortel Networks announced it has deployed optical Ethernet solutions that enable the delivery of high-speed broadband services to Chinese customers in Beijing and in Qingdao, a coastal city in East China's Shandong Province.
Capinfo Company Ltd., an Internet application service provider backed by the Beijing Municipal Government, has installed Nortel Networks Passport 8600 routing switches to provide government and commercial Internet services over a fiber infrastructure.
Nortel Networks also provided Passport 8600 switches to help the China Netcom Qingdao branch expand its Internet protocol wide-area network.
