Molectron Expands Laser Power Facilities
Molectron Detector Inc. has increased its laser power capabilities with the addition of nine UV-NIR-IR continuous-wave lasers, which are used in calibrating the company's Si, Ge and InGaAs quantum detectors. The lasers calibrate at up to five discrete wavelengths across the spectrum. The Portland, Ore.-based company also has purchased a 1.5-kW CO
2 laser for use in testing and calibrating its LaserGage industrial laser power meter products.
