Movaz Awarded VIC TOKAI Contract
ATLANTA, Dec. 2 -- Movaz Networks has been awarded a multimillion dollar contract from VIC TOKAI Inc., a network system integrator in Japan, to be the exclusive supplier for the expansion of its existing optical fiber network infrastructure between Tokyo and Nagoya. The VIC TOKAI contract was established through a strategic relationship between Movaz and NETMARKS, which has also made a strategic funding investment in Movaz.
Movaz and NETMARKS have built three interlocking DWDM rings that will transport high-speed optical Ethernet and traditional telecommunication services to more than 30 sites, connecting 14 cities in the Kanto and Tokai areas of Japan. The VIC TOKAI network solution will feature Movaz's RAYexpress and RAYextender, an erbium-doped fiber amplifier deployed to support multihundred kilometer reach between OADM sites.
